*Part-time Faculty Positions*

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in a variety of disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may enter expressions of interest by submitting their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified to teach. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening of individuals in the pool is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Individuals will be contacted by the department if they reach the finalist stage for teaching a particular course or set of courses. The pool will remain in place until the closing date specified in the posting details; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must resubmit. All individuals in the pool will be notified by email when the posting is closed.

*Responsibilities:*.indent-list ul {list-style-position:inside;}The Department of African and Black Diaspora Studies at DePaul University invites applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 2022.
We seek applicants whose PhD and/or work fits into the humanistic social sciences, including (but not limited to) Black/African Diaspora Studies, Critical Ethnic Studies, Anthropology, Environmental Studies, Geography, and related areas of study. Ideally, candidates' record of teaching and research will demonstrate facility with interdisciplinary approaches to the historical and contemporary Black/African Diaspora.
Housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, African and Black Diaspora Studies is an undergraduate department offering courses based in interdisciplinary approaches to the study of histories, cultures, and socio-political systems of peoples of African descent.

*Required Qualifications:* The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to and actively participate in the development of the department, including recruiting and advising students. Candidates should have an active research agenda, and should be prepared to teach core courses and higher-level electives. The candidate will also have the opportunity to teach students in the Critical Ethnic Studies M.A. Program and through the University's Liberal Studies Program.
DePaul seeks candidates with demonstrated cultural competencies to include teaching, service and research in diverse learning communities.
PhD in hand by the application deadline is strongly preferred.
