  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, and online experiments (e.g., A/B testing) into actionable insights and recommendations to inform design solutions
  • Work with teams to design and facilitate successful presentations and workshops that advocate research findings and implications to diverse audiences, including senior executive level clients
  • Support project design across a range of project types and contribute to the end-to-end creation of winning proposals
  • Contribute to organizational business development activities from opportunity identification to sold work

  • Work with anthropologists, behavioural scientists, and other professionals to prioritize research opportunities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Actively manage a broad network of stakeholders within Idea Couture and Cognizant

What you'll need:
  • Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4-5 years work experience conducting research, with expertise in formative and summative methodology
  • Proven ability to critique, analyze, and elevate strategies and ideas
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to command a room
  • Experience defining usability performance metrics and conducting live or remote usability studies (e.g., Userzoom or Usertesting.com)
  • Experience conducting semi-structured interviews, stakeholder and user workshops, and contextual field visits in one-on-one and group settings
  • A deep understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process
  • Proficient in creating personas, design principles, experience maps, ecosystem maps, user journeys, service blueprints, and rapid prototyping methods
