Job Description
  • Write research questions and discussion guides
  • Conduct remote and in-person research with individuals and groups of users
  • Create process maps and other visual artifacts to understand current and future state experience design
  • Research comparative products and evaluate existing data to glean further insights and opportunities
  • Synthesize research into functional user requirements and experiences
  • Leverage insights to create experience designs across the product and other touchpoints
  • Work closely with product managers and developers to refine product details
  • Test product concepts and prototypes with end users
  • Maintain organized systems of notes, artifacts, and backlog of needs
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Development, QA, Sales, Customer Success and Leadership
  • Tirelessly advocate for human centered design
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in user research or a combination of education and experience in this field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Behavioral Science, Anthropology, Sociology, or related field
  • Deep understanding of user research processes & tools
  • Experience with product, service, and/or experience design
  • Ability to translate user feedback into specific needs and recommendations
  • Understanding of behavioral / psychological science as it pertains to user needs
  • Completed portfolio of projects in user research for product and service design
  • Incredible attention to detail and organization
  • Opinionated perspective for simplicity in design
  • Ability to envision a comprehensive user experience as it relates to product and a user journey
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach to working with others
  • A driven mindset for continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to sell design solutions to other team members
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch or Adobe Creative Cloud, and presentation materials such as Google Slides, as well as collaborative tools such as Invision
  • Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships
  • Experience with healthcare a plus
