Responsibilities:

The research department at State Farm has a need for an experienced, new product development researcher. We're seeking someone to utilize their skills in designing thinking, ideation, consumer behavior and quantitative research to drive the new product development lifecycle in partnership with an innovative business partner.

As a senior research, you will lead end to end research projects that include the design, research and recommendation process of your research - not a vendor managed workflow. You'll be seen as the thought partner influencing the direction and narrative of how we will help more customers in more ways. You're encouraged to try new and different methodologies to truly drive the creative process and inform your audience.

This team has a presence in two major office sites - Corporate headquarters (Bloomington, IL) or the Atlanta hub (Dunwoody, GA). Highly qualified candidates may be considered for 100% remote work arrangement.

Qualifications:

Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B Visa) for this opportunity.

Consumer insights research experience within a Fortune 500 organization

Evidence of consumer research assignments including the design, data analysis and synthesis of market/customer insights

Track record of delivering actionable insights and translating them into relevant business results

Adept at both research and strategy design to leverage experience across new product innovation

Experience scoping, designing, and conducting quantitative research; qualitative or ethnographic research experience - supplier side or client facing experiences preferred

Ability to perform MaxDiff, conjoint analysis, price elasticity and other advanced analytical techniques

Advanced degree in research related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Social Sciences (Anthropology, Industrial/Organizational/Consumer Psychology), Human Centered Design, Design Thinking, Economics, Marketing/Management, etc.)

Relevant technical applications: SPSS, R, SAS, Python, Qualtrics, Medallia
