Description: Our client is currently seeking a Research Assistant III

Title: Research Assistant Iii

Duration: 12+ months (Extendable)

Location : Mountain View, CA (remote till Covid_19)

Project Overview:

• We are looking for a UX Research Assistant to support UX Research work on Stadia. This Research Assistant will work closely with other researchers to gain insights from a variety of people who play digital games.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze user behavior primarily through lab studies, surveys, and benchmarking. May also include interviews and home visits.
• Work with other researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
• Manage the workflow of a team of 21 full-time internal playtesters during in-person (lab) and remote (WFH) studies
• Set up the lab infrastructure and equipment for several new lines of research
• Support ongoing UX research work by running studies, setting up equipment, and organizing research session logistics.

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

• BA/BS (or currently enrolled) in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or a related field or 2 - 5 years of equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with experimental design.
• Working knowledge of statistics (regressions, ANOVAs).
• At least one year of experience conducting research on consumer-facing experiences.
• Confidence and communication skills necessary to speak in front of large groups, including directing 20-30 participants concurrently in a research session.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with other researchers on qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Organized and detail-oriented. Able to execute on data collection without direct supervision. Must be an avid gamer.

Desired

• PhD Experience working on video game experiences Experience working with command line and/or linux. Data visualization with R or Python
