This team of designers, scientists, creative engineers and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that bring our community together in new and special ways.We are looking for a mix-method Lead User Researcher to join the Lens team at Snapchat! Working from our Santa Monica headquarters, you'll help us to improve user research processes to identify unique user needs and behaviors that drive the team to create innovative AR products and experiences. Working closely with the Design, Product Management, and Data Science teams, you will help craft and carry out research that uncovers insights and opportunities for product development and emerging technologies.What You'll DoProactively identify research needs by partnering closely with product managers, designers, engineering, data scienceBuild comprehensive research plans for AR products, using variable research methodsBe responsible for the end-to-end research process including defining, recruiting, moderating, synthesizing, and reportingAnalyze qualitative and quantitative findings and articulate actionable product and design insights to partnersBe a strong advocate for the user - evangelize user-centered design practices and the importance of usability within the development groups, our company, and other cross-functional organizationsBe a part of fast-paced and impactful teamKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesSolid understanding of UX Research methods with the ability to articulate study design to stakeholdersExcellent presentation skills Strong written and communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to deliver on multiple projects with competing deadlinesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in design, HCI, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, or related field or equivalent years of experience3+ years of experience conducting UX Research for product and design teamsPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in Human Factors, HCI, cognitive psychology, or related area is a plusExperience of leading a team of research specialists Experience leading international researchExperience leading growth researchExperience designing both qualitative and quantitative research studies, analyzing results and creating reports with impactful product and design insightsUnderstanding of SnapchatPassion about AR At Snap, we believe that having a team of diverse backgrounds and voices working together will enable us to create innovative products that improve the way people live and communicate.
