WSP is currently initiating a search for an Archaeologist for our Raleigh, NC, Nashville, TN, Tallahassee, FL, Richmond, VA, or Washington, DC office. Other locations might be possible for the right candidate with a willingness to travel. We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated professional wishing to pursue a career with a future-ready heritage resource management practice of a global environmental team. Duties and Responsibilities: - Directing field teams on surveys and excavations - Interacting with clients, landowners, contractors, and others - Technical report writing - Working with tribal monitors and representatives - Helping clients comply with state and federal regulations - Data analysis and interpretation - Prehistoric and historic artifact identification Talent is the essence of meeting our client"s objectives, goals and challenges. Job Requirements

> Minimum Qualifications: - Master's Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related discipline - 1+ years of experience in CRM archaeology including experience in the context of Section 106/110 and other legal authority compliance - Ability to work independently and to lead teams of 2-6 archaeological technicians - Expertise in a defined archaeological sub-field, as shown by publications or presentations - Excellent technical writing skills - Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative team environment - Ability to travel for projects - Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP"s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures - Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP"s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment Preferred Qualifications: - 2+ years of related experience - PhD in an appropriate field - Experience in the Southeast or Mid-Atlantic area About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
