Position Summary
The Research Assistant will provide technical and organizational assistance in several clinical epilepsy studies within the Division of Epilepsy and Sleep, Department of Neurology.
Responsibilities
The incumbent's primary responsibilities will include subject recruitment and consent, scheduling of study patients for procedures and follow-up tests as necessary, data collection and management, IRB writing and management, and coordination of cross-departmental and multicenter collaborative projects. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field such as sociology, medical ethics, anthropology, or biological science and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to conduct chart reviews. Must be able to learn and operate clinical trials software (Study Manager). Experience in statistical software highly desirable.
