Manager, Membership Development

The American Anthropological Association (AAA) invites applications for a Manager of Membership Development. In this role, you will manage all activities relating to recruiting and retaining members to include; membership recruitment, retention, membership benefit programs, and customer service.  This position also manages the Career Center and the Department Services Program.

Specific duties include management, budget, oversight and evaluation of member services and development and implementation of membership and career center marketing and recruitment programs.  This position also collaborates internally and externally to develop data-driven strategies to broaden and deepen member engagement in Association programs and to develop outreach strategies for effectively communicating the member value proposition.  Additional duties:

• Develops and prepares metrics and regular assessments and reports of member service initiatives. Produces monthly/quarterly/annual membership and campaign assessment reports.  
• Manages the Career Center online jobs posting program and onsite career development activities at the annual meeting.
•  Develops updates and manages membership business processes, policies and procedures.
• Supervises the membership coordinator and support contractors to ensure data integrity, timely reporting, and responsive customer service.
