Your Impact:
Our People & Places Solutions team is seeking a Archaelogist to provide archaeological survey, testing, data recovery, and construction monitoring, as well as other tasks as assigned.
Your role will include in-field artifact and feature identification, preparation of detailed field notes and archaeological site records, research, and report writing. You will be working from home on Jacobs-supplied equipment, with a home office assignment in Phoenix, Arizona. There is opportunity for advancement in this position. We'll ask you to be able and willing to work outdoors in remote locations and for extended periods under all weather conditions, often traversing rugged terrain. This position does involve travel. demonstrate awareness for workplace safety; and be willing to work independently when conditions are appropriate or with limited supervision.

Here's What You'll Need:
B.A./B.S. Degree or higher in Anthropology with an emphasis in Archaeology
-Experience in the Southwest and Great Basin
-Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe
-Experience with GPS equipment, including Trimble R1 receivers and Survey123 data collection applications
-At least 2 years of field experience in archaeological survey, monitoring, and excavation
-Ability/willingness to travel
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Organizational and time management skills to effectively complete assigned workload within defined timelines and in accordance with established standards
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
-Experience with GIS applications
-Experience conducting background research, including AZSITE and the ADOT Portal.
-Experience preparing technical documents, such as letter reports
-Experience documenting historical-period buildings and structures
