Adjunct Professor of Environmental Science

Drew University, located in Morris County, NJ, seeks applications for an adjunct professor to teach Anthropology 103 - Introduction to Biological Anthropology and Anthropology 301 - Medical Anthropology in the Fall 2021 semester

Drew is approximately 20 miles west of Manhattan and can be reached from Penn station by NJ Transit in about 45 mins.

The Fall 2021 semester runs from August 30 to December 10.
Required Education and Experience:

• Ph.D. in Environmental Science (or related field) or currently enrolled in a PhD graduate program in one of these fields.
  
• Have previous experience teaching an undergraduate course in Environmental Science.

Course Title: Great Challenges in Environmental Science

Today's environmental issues are some of the greatest challenges of our time. In this introductory course, we will investigate the impact of human population growth and the energy sources we use on the Earth's terrestrial and aquatic resources, environmental health and toxicology, global climate change, and biodiversity loss. We will study the science behind each issue, and its historical foundation, and its political, social, and cultural dimensions. Within this context, we will explore possible solutions. We end the course considering how to create sustainable cities that support human societies while protecting the Earth's resources.
