Description
UKG is looking for an expert ethnographer to join our Technology Research team. You have a passion for designing and conducting fieldwork, the ability to identify and clearly communicate research insights to internal teams and clients, and the nimbleness required to juggle academic theory, research methods, design thinking and business sensibility, providing meaning to the implications of the business problem at hand.
What you'll be pursuing:
You will design, conduct, and report on qualitative field studies.
Translating field insights into future products, services, and experiences.
Participating in and contributing to internal and client ideation sessions.
Collaborating with designers, strategists, technologists and many others on client projects. You will build Insights that others outside of the discipline can understand and engage in.
Shape research results into documents of actionable recommendations for the business.
Lead brainstorming sessions with stakeholders to identify and develop experience frameworks.
Qualifications
PhD (will consider Master's) in anthropology, sociology, or relevant social science discipline.
Proven experience conducting ethnographic/qualitative UX research projects.
5+ years of applied experience in user research and analysis including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and personas.
A strong portfolio demonstrating work experience
You have an awareness of, experience with, and exposure to design anthropology and its methods and practices.
