The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings his or her own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.
About the Job
The Market Research Analyst will support the Research Lead with a focus on quantitative data analysis. The Market Research Analyst will participate in cross-functional research initiatives and support in delivering actionable insights to inform strategic direction. You are a professional who is passionate about identifying trends, data visualization, is a collaborative team player and has strong project management, analytical and writing skills.
As a Market Research Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting execution of quantitative surveys
- Survey programming, data management, data analysis and data visualization
- Analyzing and extracting key findings from primary data and create visually compelling reports
- Leveraging PetSmart's proprietary panel of Pet Owners to address relevant research needs
Keys to Success:
- Curious and Analytical mindset: Mining data with a strategic lens to identify meaningful data patterns
- Efficient Planning and Project Management: Right-sized scope and timeline for executing research surveys and delivering insights.
- Partnership: Collaborate with colleagues across PetSmart, including Buying, Marketing, Loyalty, Customer Experience and Operations.
- Clear Writing and Actionable Communication: Key to delivering insights that get traction and drive the business is to be an articulate storyteller.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required in relevant field (e.g., Marketing Research, Psychology, Anthropology, Statistics, Business)
- 2 to 5 years of experience in consumer insights and/or market research
- Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative research methodologies (qualitative a plus), survey design and programming
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and tell story in visually engaging reports
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SPSS and survey programming tools an asset
