Job Description
As a Senior Information Architect on the UX Strategy team, you will play an essential role in the development of Information Architecture as a strategic practice for CVS Health digital. You'll be a member of a small, yet mighty, high-visibility team of Information Architects, UX Architects, User Researchers, Customer Experience Analysts and UX Strategists.

Our team is dedicated to forming and articulating cross-cutting strategic initiatives that serve to improve the customer, patient, and member experience across all digital applications and lines of business. Current information architecture initiatives include:

1. Centralized navigation strategy which involves establishing robust enterprise taxonomies, ontologies, and other knowledge structures to connect our navigation, categories, tags, metadata et al across different headed and headless content management systems.

2. My Account Strategy, which is an ongoing, multi-year initiative to consolidate all account management and login experiences across our digital application. This includes Purchases and Orders, Preferences, Payments, Consent, and the Health Portal.

This role will partner closely with individuals and teams from across our digital organization to advocate for the implementation of well-structured information organization using industry best practices with a goal of unifying and clarifying to establish consistency.

The Information and UX Architecture team has a unique opportunity to affect real, coherent change that affects millions of people because we are the responsible for sensemaking across all lines of business which traverse the healthcare, pharmacy, eCommerce and insurance industries. For this reason, we are seeking someone who enjoys sharing the Information Architecture teamwork and its many complexities in an easy-to-understand and relevant manner.

A day in the life of an Information Architect on this team entails technical expertise and extensive soft skills in communication and collaboration. At the highest level, you will imagine and articulate systems and workflows for developing enterprise-scale information architectures that will support intuitive, seamless, and integrated navigation for multiple platforms and apps. Your workflow process spans modalities like navigation, taxonomy, ontology, metadata schemes, and tag structures. The evolution of this process is done in close coordination with other disciplines like product, architecture, and design to achieve consensus and buy-in and to ensure the realization of our initiatives.

Required Qualifications
• 8 years' combined experience across user experience strategy, UX architecture, storytelling, data visualization, and/or information architecture.

• Track record of success as a user experience strategist, UX Architect and/or Information architect that is demonstrated through at least two case studies. These case studies will exemplify large-scale Information and/or UX architecture strategic thinking and include details about the application and importance of specific modalities like taxonomy or navigation. The case studies can be provided in the form of a PDF, Word document, Website, or other accessible format. Examples case studies include:

• Navigation evolution in conjunction with establishing taxonomies and/or ontologies that reflect multiple customer journeys,
• Information diagrams that model current and future state information structures, systems and how they impact the ecosystem.

Note: the case studies must document the discovery lifecycle, collaboration and engagement model with other disciplines and stakeholders, the delivered output and impact of the work, and any challenges you faced (+ points if you can address how you tackled these challenges).

Experience making data-driven, customer-centric decisions to define scalable information architecture solutions that lead to increased discoverability, comprehension, and customer engagement.

• Influential: Adept at presenting a clear, easy to understand point of view that educates and influences people and outcomes.

• Collaborative: Facilitate inclusive conversations and workshops across diverse teams and lines of business in a virtual environment to bring people and perspectives together. Excellent written, presentational, and communication skills.

• Committed and Resilient: Cares deeply about getting it right for our customers and business through creative, iterative approaches that solve for technology, team, security, and legal constraints.

• Detail and Big Picture Orientated: Can zoom in and out of a diverse set of criteria to excavate trends and themes and drive clarity.

• Agile: Strong focus on delivering continuous improvement and quality in near and long-term valuable increments.

Technologies:

• Skilled at documenting efficient and useful information and content audits that form the basis of recommendations in relational database tools like AirTable, prototyping tools like Invision or Figma, and or collaborative tools like Miro.

• Craft and socialize information architecture and user experience strategic/solution diagrams including sitemaps, schematics, journeys, page template layouts (block, ontology), content models, service blueprints and information hierarchy diagrams in tools like Sketch, Adobe, Figma and/or Miro.

• Conduct user experience testing using tools like UserTesting.com and Optimal Workshop and provide authoritative conclusions with reporting tools like Powerpoint and Miro.

• Demonstrated knowledge of working in a semantic tool like PoolParty with an understanding of how to integrate with CMS and other content management tools.

• Comfortable working with Headed and Headless CMS platforms like Adobe AEM, Contentful, Drupal, Wordpress and/or Joomla including taxonomy integrations for consistent categories

• Familiar with generating, analyzing, and maintaining reports in analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics.

• Adept at learning new software and technology to perform the job requirements.

Education
Relevant experience in UX Design, Information Architecture, Information Design, Data Analysis, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Computer Science or similar.

A verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
