A bachelor's degree with a major in folklore, cultural anthropology, ethnomusicology or related field and three years progressive experience in a public folklore or comparable role; or a master's degree with a major in folklore, cultural anthropology, ethnomusicology or related field and two years of experience as noted above.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management expertise in support of the administration and operation of the Florida Folklife Program.
Actively lead and participate in the identification, documentation, interpretation and promotion of folk resources.
Develop and administer grants in support of the program and program initiatives.
Serve as a liaison to the Florida Folklife Council and the Florida Folklore Society.
Conduct the Florida Folklife Apprenticeship Program.
Performs other work related duties as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of folklife and presentation of related materials, public relations and communication.
Skill in a/v and photographic equipment.
Ability to write grants and implement budgets, ability to produce reports.
Ability to work with people from different cultures.

- Experience in video and audio production.
