Sr. UX Researcher, Operations- Remote Eligible

Job Description Best Buy is one of the largest multi-channel consumer electronics retailers in the world with technology at its center. We are seeking a Senior Researcher, Operations to join our Standards and Operations team. The Standards and Operations team supports our Product Experience Design and Research team. The Sr. Researcher, Operations role under the Customer Office will support the research operations needs for consumers, employees, and healthcare. This role will be a key contributor of research methods and processes that advance and evolve human-centered design and best practices.
This operations role will strategically influence the research practice, in pursuit of creating meaningful experiences that advocate for both customers and employees throughout the enterprise. This is an exciting role that will help shape the evolution of program structures, manage processes, initiatives and testing. The role will also strategically lead how Best Buy defines vendor and internal partner relationships to determine pools of customer and employee research participants, in support of product research priorities.
The work will require self-prioritization of work, strong communication and relationship building across the broader organization - helping to define the capability of this new role and set the stage for future needs for related to research operational support. As a new role within the Standards and Operations team this is a great growth opportunity within the research space.
Key Responsibilities:

• Define industry leading initiatives to further research growth and day-to-day operations
• Responsible for the continuous evaluation and improvement of research processes to ensure they are efficient, high quality, and scalable, and offer solutions that successfully translate insights
• Define and maintain a standard of practice around how, when, and why customer and employee participants are sourced
• Ensures all critical business requirements related to research operations are met, the technical solutions support the desired outcomes across a broad set of digital product teams and their research needs
• Partners with cross-functional groups and interdisciplinary groups to co-create research operations solutions
• Provides direct leadership and mentorship to the extended Product Experience Design & Research team
• Expert functional knowledge of research methods and practices to contribute to the maturity of the research community of practice
• Investigate and define needs for research tools, subscriptions, etc
• Train and support researchers on new tools, and the process for implementing them in their research
• Responsible for repository governance and coordination of decisions, etc
• Identifies severity and impact of open issues within the research operations practices through facilitating conversations with stakeholders and constituent internal user groups
• Responsible for coordinating and supporting research literature needs such as Forrester and Gartner relationships
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure research is executed in the desired way

Qualifications:

• 3+ years conducting UX Research for digital design organizations or related field or role (e.g., Anthropology, Social Science, Design Research, Psychology, Marketing, Communications. Etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in envisioning, defining, and implementing research operations initiatives
• Demonstrated experience in helping individuals and organizations understand and embrace Human-Centered Design
