Anatomical Sciences Faculty
The Auburn Campus of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM Auburn) is seeking tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor to teach anatomy to osteopathic medical students. VCOM’s mission is to prepare physicians to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations and to promote research to improve human health.
VCOM Auburn is a private institution which is affiliated with, and located on the campus of, Auburn University. Faculty members are encouraged to collaborate on research projects with Auburn University, including the Harrison School of Pharmacy, Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, College of Education, and School of Kinesiology.
Ideal applicants will possess a PhD degree in anatomy or a related discipline and have experience teaching gross anatomy at the graduate or professional school level. Applicants with a DO or MD degree will also be considered. The level of academic appointment will be commensurate with experience.
The position includes teaching first and second year medical students including a cadaver dissection lab, conducting research, and participating in professional societies and academic service activities.
