You want to help your client deliver faster and better services to U.S. citizens and improve people's quality of life where it matters most.The Work:The Threat Analyst Lead collects and analyzes traditional and social media data to produce time-sensitive analysis relevant to the mission of our government client. The Threat Analyst is or can become a subject matter expert (SME) in the field of media analysis, using both available open source and proprietary data sets to assist the client to recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and foreign non-state propaganda and disinformation. The Threat Analyst Lead will work cross functionally with appropriate various regional threat teams utilizing data analytics, visualization, and reporting and will provide regular monitoring, to identify, analyze, communicate, and brief the client on disinformation activity.
You have:
- An undergraduate degree in regional affairs, international relations, economics, sociology/anthropology, history, security studies, or similar programs
- Experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources.
- Experience with open source research and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to brief client executive leadership
- Background or language proficiency from Latin America or Africa areas as areas of interest
Bonus points if you have:- Demonstrated experience in coordinating requirements with diplomatic agencies or organizations involved with international development- Experience in consulting or similar field requiring client collaboration, presentation, and delivery- Experience extracting, aggregating, and structuring data along different dimensions- Experience working or previous exposure to use various programs: Python, R, SAS, OR Tableau- Experience in analytics and statistical modeling
