Position: Senior UX Researcher
Location: Fully Remote/Off-site
Starts: July
Duration: Possible Full Time
Status: Freelance/ possible Full Time
Rate: Up to $60/hr
We're reaching out to see if you are interested in a new UX Researcher role with a notable tech client based in Seattle. This is starting as a contract opportunity, up to 11 months, 40 hours per week, remote and there is potential to convert to direct hire.
In this role you will aid in unraveling complexities of personalizing the individual digital reading experiences within a household. You will leverage your deep research expertise and applied experience to propose, execute, and deliver impactful research that influences the end-to-end experience. Research will predominantly be generative, with some evaluative work. Strong knowledge of all phases of the product and design development cycle is critical for this position.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 7+ years of applied industry experience conducting user research
- Past work experience examples were your research informed decision-making and product strategy
- Applied experience with a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods; including remote research
- End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating).
-Broad knowledge of research methodologies and the proven ability to execute the right methodology to get the needed result.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a fast-paced software development environment within a highly entrepreneurial organization.
- Applied research experience with diverse customers of all ages and backgrounds.
- Applied research experience in non-US markets.
- MA/MS or PhD in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, or related discipline
