Vali is looking for Senior, Regional and Associate Cultural Instructors for multiple locations.

Duties include: provide regional and culture instruction on cross-cultural/intercultural competency, country specific, and/or training of the entire Area of Responsibility of a Geographic Combatant Command (GCC). Instructors integrate technology in the classroom and in homework assignments employing resources such as Smart Boards, BlackBoard, Quizlet, and SharePoint, the Internet, iPods, and Tablet PCs provided by the Government. Grade oral presentations and extensive research papers and evaluate writing skills, grammar, analytical capabilities, and overall research ability.

Senior/Regional Cultural Instructor:

Education:

At least a master's degree with at least 18 undergraduate semester credit hours and 24 graduate semester hours directly related to the target region in foreign area studies, international relations, anthropology, economics, history, political science, language(s) of the target region, sociology, or other relevant topics to be approved by the Government.

Experience:

At least 4 years' (at least 3 months within the last 2 years) of experience living in the target region on the local economy engaged in work or studies, not in a U.S. compound.

At least 2 years' experience teaching regional studies to graduate or higher learners.

The Instructor shall have developed curricula and teaching materials related to the target region for courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Has a deeper knowledge and understanding of most of the components of a region or country than many or even most natives of the country. This deeper knowledge is equivalent to a Level 4 (Senior Professional) as defined in Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 5160.70 and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 3126.01A. Can create and defend novel viewpoints regarding the subject matter; knows the pros and cons of these viewpoints. Military experience may be required in individual task orders.

English Language Qualifications:

Completed formal study of the English Language and achieved the score indicated on any of the below:

1) At least ILR level 3 as measured by DoD test.

2) A score of 590 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) PBT, or TOEFL iBT score as follows: 96 minimum overall and at least 23 each in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing.

3) A score of no less than 95 on the English Comprehension Level (ECL) test.

4) At least a proficiency level 3 or Superior (ACTFL) on an OPI.

Target Language Qualifications:

Language proficiency is not required to teach Regional Studies unless specified in the individual task order, but it will be considered preferable in that language proficiency enables the instructor to use authentic materials written in the target language.

Associate Regional/Cultural Instructor:

Education:

At least a bachelor's degree with at least 18 semester hours credit directly related to the target region in foreign area studies, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, economics, history, political science, language(s) of the target region, sociology, or other relevant topics to be approved by the Government.

Experience:

At least 1 year of experience living in the target region on the local economy, not in a U.S. compound and at least 9 months' experience teaching regional studies to post high-school learners. Military experience may be required in individual task orders.

This individual shall be equivalent to a Level 3 (Associate) as defined in DODI 5160.70 and CJCSI 3126.01A.

English Language Qualifications:

Completed formal study of the English Language and achieved the score indicated on any of the below:
