Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Archaeological Technician I for employment in the Chico, CA office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
This is a part-time position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct all aspects of archaeological field work, including survey, site recordation, site testing and evaluations, monitoring, and data recovery
- Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of GPS data using Trimble units
- Conduct technical research and writing for reporting efforts
- Analyze and document prehistoric and historic sites and artifacts
- Work independently under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements
- High school + none
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
- A minimum of one (1) years of experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring required; experience in California and Pacific Northwest preferred
- Current valid driver's license and U.S. government issued identification required
- Experience with Geospatial technology including GPS and GIS
