Ready for a challenge that will keep you on the edge of social sciences? Are you an experienced Researcher who thrives in a fast paced environment working with teams? Parsons is looking for experienced Cognitive Social Scientists for an emerging program.
Responsibilities
The Social Scientist performs research and analysis to provide social, cultural, economic, political, religious, and regional expertise and assist a range of clients with decision-making and interpreting the effects of local issues and events.
Candidates should have demonstrated experience:
- Utilizing an Open Source Research and Analysis network and database to perform narrative analysis and prepare and provide oral and written reports and briefings on in-depth analysis of national and local level issues to a senior audience
- Providing methodological expertise to assist with the design, development, maintenance, and management of local/regional research networks to include delivering methods training, designing research samples, and developing data validity evaluation procedures
- Assisting with the development of new analysis techniques, procedures, and products as well as assists the data science team with the visualization of qualitative analysis
- Performing methodologically sound social science analysis of collected research to determine the implications and trends the data reveal and producing written reports and briefings on research findings that offer a comprehensive view of public opinion data
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience performing the Roles and Responsibilities listed above
- US Citizen and ability to attain a DoD Secret clearance
- Journeyman Level: 3+ years of experience, Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or related field
- Senior Level: 10+ years of experience, and Masters Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or related field
- SME Level: 15+ years of experience and has exceptional, highly unique expertise. Recognized industry leader / expert
The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $115,000.00.Benefits for this position include: medical, dental, vision, paid time off and 401K.Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
