You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers, employing a broad range of ethnographic and usability research studies to capture user behaviors and motivations. You will evangelize your findings to senior executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and team members, advocating for our users every step of the way. As part of your longer-term strategy, you will empower the broader product teams with guidance and tools for self-service research, championing best practices and actionable insights.
You will report to the Head of Product Design and otherwise be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and autonomy.

What you will get to do

  • Generate insights on user behavior and motivations through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, A/B testing, and other relevant studies
  • Translate research insights into holistic UX deliverables such as personas, journey maps, or day-in-the-life-of maps, as well as developing your own creative reporting techniques
  • Build relationships with users and buyers that reveal deep insights about how they work, their routines, and their business questions and needs
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Mentor the product teams on what outstanding user research looks like, getting teams excited about the benefits it provides
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations in a clear, brief, and persuasive way
  • Manage recruitment of study participants, including oversight of third party recruiters and working directly with clients
  • Identify an appropriate communication and reporting format for all data and insights
  • Build and manage a repository of research tools and insights
