As a Senior Product Design Researcher at Bluebeam, you'll join the Product Design & Research team to support our latest and greatest cloud and SaaS based product offerings. You'll help lead the charge on using customer/user research to add value at every stage of our discovery, product design and development processes.

We are looking for an individual to collaborate closely with a Product Design Research Manager, Product Designers and Product Managers to uncover meaningful human-centered insights that will drive great design and innovation impacting the future direction as well as current design of our products.

What you'll do:
  • Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other Researchers to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Identify research opportunities and suggest ways to validate product ideas and concepts during discovery in order to verify tangible assumptions and hypotheses.
  • Research study coordination and logistics, as well as supporting the optimization and streamlining of user research processes.
  • Conduct evaluative research to provide feedback on concepts, designs, and the end-to-end user experience.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through interviews, lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, A/B testing and more.

  • Contribute to our research roadmap and help align cross-functional teams around a shared vision for Product at Bluebeam.
  • Act as a champion for research, good user experience, sharing best practices and demonstrating curiosity about customer needs and behaviors.
  • Discover, stay abreast, and recommend effective research tools for collaborative work.
  • Directly contribute to ongoing research process improvements, including establishing best practices and setting standards for the approach and rigor we apply to our research methods.

What we'd like to see in you:
  • 5 or more years of experience researching (and hopefully even designing) delightful user experiences for a range of responsive desktop and native mobile apps. Your portfolio shows diverse research processes, deliverables and outcomes.
  • Experience with a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative methods, which may include interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, ideation sessions, ethnographic field research, usability evaluation, statistical modeling, and diary studies.
  • Experience researching complex user workflows that involve multiple personas, groups of users or customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and conduct a variety of research in close collaboration with people in a variety of roles, including design, engineering, and product management.
  • Experience working with a wide range of prototyping tools including Principle, Figma, Axure, InVision, etc.
  • Curious, analytical and a proven ability to uncover actionable insights and evangelize findings at various levels of the organization.
  • Experience clearly presenting and articulating research findings with data visualization and the ability to tell a meaningful story from the data.
  • Are self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Have a natural ability to build strong relationships -- with your teammates, your manager as well as with various cross functional team members.
  • Comfortable working in multi-faceted design, product and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Possess effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • An appreciation of user psychology and an understanding of how language and design resonate with users.
  • Egoless, self-starting, team player.

What we'd LOVE to see in you:
  • BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
