Independently build and execute impactful research plan(s), helping teams better understand the needs of the customer, address the most critical business and technology objectives, and identify the biggest opportunities to pursue.
Guide the business unit through ambiguous research problems. Lead product managers, engineers and designers in refining their questions and assumptions into clear research goals and learning plans and providing strong research expertise to ensure we are asking and answering the most strategic questions.
Act internally as a customer advocate. Bring a holistic end-to-end customer perspective to influence stakeholders and cross-functional teams and connect learnings from across the Cisco enterprise networking ecosystem to ensure seamless, delightful customer experiences.
Effectively influence cross-functional partners to focus efforts on the most strategic initiatives that have the largest business and customer impact.
Educates product teams on quality research and scales community knowledge around research methods and practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

Exceptional and demonstrated end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research skills with the ability to execute the full range of methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication. Able to present research in a clear, confident, and engaging manner to diverse audience and create action items with the team.
Demonstrated skilled moderator who can get to the root cause of issues and understand customers mental model through deep inquiry. Able to effectively adapt and work off script to explore the most meaningful information.
Strong leadership qualities that enable you to influence and lead cross-functional teams and third-party partners when needed.
An avid problem solver and team player, organized, meticulous, and empathetic.
Portfolio that includes examples of leading strategic research with significant business outcomes.

12+ years experience in user experience research, minimum 5 years experience in B2B enterprise setting.
Minimum of a Masters degree in a relevant field such as HCI, psychology, anthropology, design, human factors, cognitive science.
