We are looking for a Researcher to become an important member of our Consumer Insights team. Reporting to the Director of Qualitative Research, you will work to identify and share insights that help in the development of our product. You will work alongside an extraordinary team of researchers to identify and produce research that solves our complex business and product challenges.
This role is perfect for someone who loves Technology, Psychology, Sociology/Anthropology, Marketing, and the search for common insights that connect all four. We're a fast-paced, rapidly growing startup. You will be part of something big, with room to grow.
Please note that this is a fully remote position - a physical presence in New York is not required.
What will you be doing?
  • Using techniques like in-depth interviews, focus groups, observation, surveys, content analysis, and analysis of data to answer research questions;
  • Independently conducting research to gather data relevant to our product and customers;
  • Focusing strongly on qualitative research;
  • Coordinating the logistics of remote research, including recruiting.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology etc.);
  • 3+ years of experience conducting primary and secondary research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data;
  • Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity in order to process and understand information quickly, as well as diagnose issues to make actionable recommendations;
  • Proven competence for meeting deadlines, multi-tasking and managing work under ambiguity/uncertainty (e.g., changing factors, limited information).
What skills will come in handy?
  • A great writer with experience publishing business related deliverables such as white papers, articles, etc;
  • Excellent communicator who can effectively disseminate complex findings through relevant means;
  • A team player who can collaborate productively, build relationships, and move work forward with internal partners and stakeholders.
Creative challenge requirement
There is a three-question written interview to be submitted before an initial meeting. This helps us understand how you think, brainstorm, and where your mind is willing to wander for a great concept. There is no firm deadline, but we are processing inbound tests on a first-come, first-served basis. Take as much time as you need to effectively highlight your unique skills and abilities.
