Seeking Senior Archaeologist for work in NY/NJ/CT/PA area to supervise fieldwork, conduct research, and prepare reports. Must meet Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualification Standards and have experience in urban archaeology and construction monitoring, as well as research, technical report preparation, GIS, supervision of fieldwork, and laboratory analysis.

  • Conduct long-term monitoring for construction project in New York City.
  • Supervise field technicians.
  • Identify and record archaeological resources.
  • Conduct data recovery recordation as needed.
  • Maintain communication with project engineers, client, and city/state agencies.
  • Prepare reports.

  • MA in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
  • Experience with urban archaeology and construction monitoring
  • Experience with GIS

Certifications/Licenses:
OSHA min. 10-hour
