Manager, Education and Conferences

The American Anthropological Association (AAA) Meetings and Conferences Department is seeking a highly organized Manager, Education and Conferences. This person will contribute to the Association’s success by overseeing all program production aspects of the annual meeting and up to (10) section meetings yearly, and supporting a robust virtual education program for the association’s members. Project Management responsibilities include hands-on control of abstract management software and learning management systems, overseeing the recruitment and selection of reviewers, serving as direct point of contact with volunteer committee members, clear and concise speaker/presenter management, and ownership of overall process improvement and management. Year-round content responsibilities include providing logistical and project management support to year-round virtual education programs with content guidance from liaison with the education team.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, instructional design, or related fields, and 3 or more years of experience in association management. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience with association management and conference management software, demonstrated project management and organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, experience working with volunteers, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent benefits package, salary $60-75k, depending on experience.
