Visiting Assistant Professor
Sewanee: The University of the South seeks a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Anthropology to begin August 1, 2021.
We seek an anthropologist with a specialty in Ecological Anthropology, Environmental Justice, or Public Health. The selected candidate would teach three upper division courses in their specialty and three sections of Introduction to Cultural Anthropology. Geographic area is open. A Ph.D. in hand by the start of the position and previous teaching experience is preferred. Also preferred are qualified candidates whose research and teaching interests would contribute to Sewanee’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives to broaden the pedagogical activities of the University.
