The Department of Anthropology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2021. We seek a sociocultural anthropologist who will add to and complement the existing curriculum. Geographical focus is open, with a preference for the Americas. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: race, ethnicity, indigeneity, environment, citizenship, and/or social movements. The teaching load is 3/3.  The successful candidate will teach two sections of Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology, and four upper-division electives that focus on the candidate’s geographical and topical interests. A Ph.D. in hand by the start of the position is required and previous teaching experience is preferred.
