Visiting Assistant Professor of Biological Anthropology

Cleveland State University is searching for active, culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber.

CSU’s Department of Criminology, Anthropology, and Sociology invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biological Anthropology position available August 16, 2021. Major responsibilities: teach up to a maximum of 32 credits per year of undergraduate courses in biological anthropology. The appointment is for one year, with possible reappointments for up to two additional years.

Minimum qualifications are a PhD in anthropology with a specialization in biological anthropology, demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching, and a willingness to teach a course in forensic anthropology.

Preferred qualifications are teaching experience with introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in biological anthropology and urban medical anthropology. An active research and publication agenda will be an advantage, particularly one that includes issues in urban biological or medical anthropology.
