The Department of Anthropology at The University of Alabama offers training in all four traditional sub-fields of anthropology:

• Archaeology
• Biological Anthropology
• Linguistic Anthropology
• Social/Cultural Anthropology

We offer undergraduate minors in anthropology and global health, and BA, MA, and PhD degrees in anthropology. At the doctoral level the department offers two tracks: archaeology of complex societies of the Americas and biocultural medical anthropology. We also offer dual-degree MA/MPH and PhD/MPH programs in conjunction with the Department of Health Science.
