Description of Responsibilities: The Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology will be required to teach courses in Introduction to Native American Studies, Contemporary Native America, North American Indians, and one upper-division cultural anthropology course.
In addition, the Visiting Assistant Professor will be expected to display a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship, commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.

We include the academic transmission of key ideas and knowledge of human life in all four anthropology subfields: archaeology, biocultural/forensic anthropology, linguistic anthropology and sociocultural anthropology.
