Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, seeks to fill a two-year replacement position at the Visiting Assistant Professor level in Sociolinguistic Anthropology beginning fall semester 2019. We seek a candidate who works in a world area other than Africa or Mesoamerica and whose research/teaching interests complement those of our current faculty. A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is required. The successful candidate would teach two introductory cultural anthropology courses and one introductory anthropological linguistics course, as well as two upper level courses in the candidate's specialty, for a total of five courses per academic year. Salaries are competitive and Kenyon has an excellent benefits package for employees and their family members, including domestic partners.
