The Anthropology Department at Colby College is a small, dynamic department focused on cultural anthropology. We invite applications for a one-year visiting Faculty Fellow with a geographic focus on Latin America, beginning on September 1, 2019. The successful candidate will teach four courses a year, including Introduction to Cultural Anthropology, one course in the Anthropology of Latin America, and two additional courses to be decided in conjunction with departmental needs. Areas of specialization are open; we encourage applicants who can contribute courses on environmental anthropology, race and ethnicity, expressive culture, urban anthropology, among other topics. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, with preference given to those with experience teaching in a Liberal Arts setting. Ph.D. (preferred) or advanced ABD.
