Assistant Professor of Anthropology (Africa or the African Diaspora) The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Whittier College seeks a sociocultural anthropologist with ethnographic experience in Africa and/or the African Diaspora (Latin America, North America, or the Caribbean) for the position of Assistant Professor of Anthropology. The successful candidate will be able to teach introductory courses, ethnographic methods, upper level courses in the region/issues of their expertise and courses in our general education and interdisciplinary programs. We prefer candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in anthropology by September 2019.
