The Department of Anthropology at the University of Missouri seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in cultural anthropology for the 2018-19 academic year who will contribute to the department’s focus on scientific approaches to studies of human biology, behavior, culture, and evolution.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will possess the ability to teach a four-field introductory anthropology course as well as a course on the ethnography of the candidate’s geographic area of expertise and/or ethnographic methods. Ability to teach evolutionary medicine, comparative social organization, or introduction to archaeology is a plus.
Appointment date: The position will begin in August 2018 and extend through the Spring 2019 semester. The teaching load will be 3 courses each semester.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
