The ideal candidate is expected to have a broad training in Anthropology with the ability to contribute to a new interdisciplinary BA in Global Archaeology, including experience or specialization in cultural heritage studies and cultural resource management. A background in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Historical Archaeology, geospatial analysis (Geographic Information Systems), materials analysis. Excellence in teaching introductory level Anthropology classes with a liberal arts and core curriculum setting is essential. Potential for external grant funding is desirable as is a commitment to community engagement. Applicants should expect to have Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment.
