The Department of Sociology at the University of South Carolina Aiken invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2018. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory cultural and physical anthropology courses as well as develop an active research program and be actively engaged in the area of service. Faculty in the Department of Sociology typically teach 12 contact hours per week, and have an average class size of 30. Required: a PhD in Anthropology at the time of appointment in August and teaching experience. Preferred: a demonstrated record of scholarly activity and a strong interest in teaching and research at a small comprehensive liberal arts institution.
